Hey all!
Mike and Ester here reporting live from Missouri. Let me tell you, it's
frickin' freezin'!! Lows have dropped to 19 degrees so far, but the
averages are 28-40. Gas heaters are a commodity out here for busses.
At least it's been dry, or there'd be a lot of ice on the ground. Bus
has lived in the garage, though it does get out still, it will likely go
into dry storage for the next couple months to make room for daily
drivers in the garage.
At any rate, sounds like you have been having lots of fun and Matt is
keeping you all going with the events. We really miss all the fun and
folks there in MPAS.
We like it out here. We live 20 minutes north of Kansas City and 20
minutes from the base. Our town has about 4000 in it and if you blink,
you'll miss it.
The local VW club is pretty cool, and the local bus crowd is tight. We
all help each other with tech days and group efforts to get busses back
on the road. We have a VolksAuthority equivalent called VeeVillage in
KC. Been there since the 60s and carries German parts. One of the
parts guys is a bus guy and always gives killer discounts.
Joined the Buskatiers also. They're a email network based club. They
come together for events from across the country, which is pretty cool.
I've met quite a few locally, one of which works on base as a civilian
contractor. Some of them know some of you too, from conversations
we've had. Small world, huh?
Isaac tells me you guys had an awesome time at the PG parade. That's sweet.
So any way, I've done some long needed updating to my webpage, so check
it out. I've dug up some old pics, and some new. I've changed the
index page to Das Kombi Haus, let me know what you think - if it's
intuitive or works right.

Scott and Sherry - congratulations on your marriage. We wish we could
have been there to share the moment.
Traver - Nice bus, I knew you'd come along sooner or later.
Tim - Project Fridolin?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
